Western Victorian Community Alliance
The Western Victorian Community Alliance is a community led incorporated association which was formed in 2025 as a group representing affected landholder’s, communities, organisations, businesses, and all other individuals and groups who would potentially be impacted by the proposed WRL (formerly known as WVTNP). We all believe that new infrastructure used to transport high voltage electricity from renewable energy sources must be undertaken in a least impactful manner that delivers minimal impact and low to no risk.
Purpose and objectives
The Western Victorian Community Alliance is driven by a commitment to protecting landholders and communities from the severe risks and impacts of the WRL and VNI West transmission line projects. We stand united in demanding that these projects undergo a full reassessment, using a rigorous triple bottom line approach to determine their necessity and fully evaluate their consequences.
With over 11,000 supporters across social and newsletter networks, the Alliance collaborates with advocacy groups along the proposed corridors to ensure every impacted region has a voice. By uniting local efforts under one coordinated movement, we are a powerful force determined to hold decision-makers accountable and secure a fairer, more responsible outcome.
